Sherwood Place consists of nine properties, two of which belong to Rooftop Housing Group (3&8). We were given a contact number for the lady at number eight, we knocked on and spoke to her about the existing set up, her and her husband advised us that they think their foul waste discharges into the new sewage treatment plant at Cuckoos Nest (the new build). They and the owners of number four think that this was part of the planning permissions to allow Cuckoos Nest to be built. We understand from our service records that this is likely accurate as there was an old septic tank in that area that we have previously maintained. Number four allowed us to enter their property as they advised me that they have their own septic tank with a drainfield and have nothing to do with the shared septic tank that is located at the driveway at the bottom of number two. We lifted one of the manholes that they indicated enters their septic tank and noted that a feed comes from the rear of number three (Rooftops) and goes to their private septic tank. Mr Williams (number four) advised that he has tried on several occasions to obtain some compensation to assist to the upkeep of their septic tank The owner of Cuckoos Nest was not answering the door, we were unable to gain any information from them. We then spoke with Mr Glenn Bates at number two (where the non-compliant septic tank is installed) and he thinks Cuckoos Nest, numbers five, six, sev

You have advised that you require a basic survey which includes: - Carrying out an assessment of your current tank and discharge to advise if the system is compliant including x1 hour onsite - Report on compliance of your system - Report on condition of your system - Remedial options and costs if required - Dye test of all accessible downpipes/guttering at ground level Please note that the results may be inconclusive depending on the normal working levels within the tank, access to the outlet and access to the downpipes. If you have had any issues in the past with your unit, we would recommend that you have a desludge of the system at the time of our visit as a minimum. Please speak to us if you are not sure what level of survey is required.
