Following our discussion, we advise a passing visit to investigate the water holing in the inspection chambers. This visit include one waste water engineer, up to 30 minutes on site. Original info - septic tank installed five years ago in May 2021- a domestic treatment plant - an Aquatech ASP12. The soakaway is no longer soaking away as it should. In both inspection chambers there is between 2 feet and 2.5 feet of perfectly clear water permanently in both chambers. We have done some investigative work: Had a camera inspection to make sure there are no blockages in the soakaway pipe Dug a hole deeper than the pipe, adjacent, and done a test to ensure that water is indeed soaking away. As it's sand, it is draining more than adequately) Repeatedly used a F.O.G. product in the inspection chambers and a bug blaster product in the septic tank. I think we may need excavation work to assess what's going on. Before going for excavations, agreed a passing visit to check why the manholes have water in potentially. Manholes need sealing? Obtain the depths and distances between manholes so we can work out if the pipes have the correct fall. May need a percolation test to check that the ground is suitable for drainfield which we can advise after the visit
